![]() ![]() Neil is like a drug, he is very addicting. After leaving a concert, you can't wait for the next one. For the 2 and one half hours he is on stage he takes the audience away from the life realities and puts them into a fantasy world. No one has a care in the world when at his concerts. I just went Dec. 21, 99 and can't wait to see him again. Sharon Norton Gardiner, Maine 1-11-2000 |

![]() ![]() I have been to 20 concerts altogether. Spfg., Mass.--Hartford, Ct.--Providence, R.I.--Orlando, Fla.--Tampa, Fla.--New Haven, Ct. Most of those places several times. But the best was on December 21, 1999 at which he dedicated the concert to the 6 fallen firemen of Worcester, Mass. who lost their lives in a terrible fire 2 weeks before the concert. He really gave his all that night, even donating stick on frogs to the firefighters to sell to raise money for the firefighter's familys. He also donated the money from the programs that were sold that night. He also sang the last song in memory of them---He's Not Heavy He's My Brother, which brought the house down. What a wonderful and thoughtful and talented man he is. He knows how to reach out to his audience and to make them a part of the whole experience. He also appreciates his fans and lets them know it. He is one of the most talented performers that I know. I only thank God that I was on this earth at the same time that he is. He and his beautiful noise has brought me many wonderful moments. Thank you Neil for just being you. Susan B. Cote Osik Enfield, CT. 1-9-2000 |
![]() ![]() So I took it back home and that record (1975 was the year) was played everyday, almost on the hour by me or one of my other 6 siblings. Our poor mono system never sounded so good! That's how it all began! Now some 25 years later and owning some 20 albums, 25 cassettes and another 25 CD's... I guess you could consider me a Diamondhead! Do I qualify? My favorite album was and probably the best live album ever recorded was undoubtedly "HOT AUGUST NIGHT" . Man ..."What a Title". I used to have so many dreams of me just being there. In my dreams I would start out watching as one of the tree people and then as the album replayed in my dream I was able to soar above the crowd and almost be one with the music. I had a front row seat! Now, with my wife and 3 kids, my time and energies are focused on them but every so often, about once a year, I get one of those truly sensational, fantastic dreams! , and hey...please don't wake me if I do! (Almost make a fellow want to go to bed early!) My dream is to one day get a chance to see Neil LIVE! As far as I know Neil hasn't been to Nova Scotia since 1966 (Could be wrong..but for sure not since 1975). Hey Neil, think about it...Don't "forget about it" as they say in the Bronx. Well...that's my story. Thanks for reading! Mike PS. "Are you still there TreePeople?" 1-7-2000 |

![]() ![]() I saw Neil a couple of times after and always felt like my brother was standing next to me. And every time I play Neil's CDs or hear him sing I think of the night my brother got to see him in person. It is something that will stay with me for the rest of my life. Thanks Neil. ![]() ![]() My earliest memory is going to nursery singing come se come say (from Soolaimon I know wrong words) and selataper man (Solitary Man). I don't know how I could live without Neil's music, whether it is belting out Brother Loves Travelling Salvation Show or the sweet voice of Play Me. However since I heard Neil as a bump, I have been hooked. My most prized possession are autographed drumsticks from Vince Charles which I got on the Tennessee Moon tour in 1996 at the Nynex. ![]() ![]() When Neil came to Manchester in 1996, he was just so excited for months before the concert--which just so coincided with a holiday in Ibiza, which he gladly let me cancel, in order to see Neil. We were lucky to get seats on the 2nd row, but he looked so sweet in his Tennessee Moon hat, the bouncers took him down to sit with them at the front. Not that he sat, he danced along all night, earning smiles and waves from most of the band, Yes INCLUDING NEIL - I was envious. Hadley seemed particularly taken with him, and waved every time he revolved past, but the highlight of his night (and probably his life so far) is the autographed drumsticks, that Vince threw to him. Every Christmas and birthday he buys me a frog, be it an ornament or jewelry. He has an extensive collection of cuddly frogs, and has even filled my car with so many of them, the local kids call it the frogmobile. He attended his 2nd concert in February 1999, and this time we were on the front row. We have just bought him a computer for Christmas, needless to say the wallpaper and screen saver are full of Neil. Now he wants a NEIL DIAMOND web page. He just loves these Neil Diamond pages, and is viewing them every day. I am proud of my son, and so happy that I can share my love of Neil and his music with him. Neither of us can imagine a life without Neil. DIAMONDHEAD 12-23-99 |
![]() ![]() One of my favourite favourites :-))) is Tennessee Moon. I listen to his songs every day and I know for sure that he sings at least one song especially for me and that is Hey (my) Louise from the Jazzsinger. My Christian name is Louise and while he's singing that song for me I am giving him the right answers. For me he is the best singer and perfomer in this and in the next millennium. I really hope I'll see him once again in concert in my lifetime. With love Lous (Louise) Roos, Amsterdam The Netherlands 12-23-99 |
